Isaac joined Meltwater in 2014 and was quickly promoted to the Managing Director position within the Client Success Team. When asked about his initial career prospects, he stated that he dreamt of a job that allowed him to travel a lot, involved highly external work and something that would drive his personal growth. However, he never thought of working for a more intimate company like Meltwater. What drew him to Meltwater was not only the above-average salary, but also the constant challenge and innovation that has pushed him out of his comfort zone and prompt continual improvement.

Q. What does Meltwater China mean to you?
Seeing Meltwater grow from an IT company to one of the most influential companies within the SaaS business has been very rewarding.
Over the years we've managed to acquire numerous AI companies, including Hong Kong's Klarity. Our annual revenue has even reached 250 million USD this year. The Chinese market is becoming more and more influential with more and more opportunities to explore.
The next step for us is to configure how to mold our product to fit the media culture in China. We have to put ourselves in the minds of our customers and interpret their business challenges. Our goal is to figure out ways to relieve their predicaments through our digital services. This is our core ideology and main goal.
Q. What is the most exciting you've ever experienced at Meltwater?
There has actually been a lot of exciting moments during my 4 years at Meltwater. I feel very proud and honored to witness see the youngsters that I've recruited grow into the leaders they are today.
If I had to identify an exact event, it would be attending the MEST Africa's graduation ceremony as one of Meltwater's Global Top 10 Sales in 2016.
That moment was very rewarding and fulfilling as I had the opportunity to give back to the community after working with businesses for the past years. I saw. There actually are a lot of exciting moments during the 4 years I’m here. I am really proud to witness the process where youngsters that I have recruited turned into actual leaders.
Personally, the most exciting experience would be participating in MEST Africa’s graduation ceremony as a Meltwater Global Top 10 in 2016. I think its really fulfilling to have the opportunity to give back to the community instead of just working with businesses like I normally do. I was able to see how these students have grown to achieve their aspirations with help from our entrepreneurial training. It was through these experiences where I truly came to comprehend why Meltwater values entrepreneurship so much.
I hope that everyone can be a better person today than who they were yesterday.
Q. What lessons do you wish anyone who has worked at Meltwater would take away from their time here?
No matter how long you are staying, I hope that everyone can be a better person today than who they were yesterday - This is what's most important to me.

I always tell my team to be positive, to absorb the energy from people around you. I never thought success came from technical skills, but rather from curiosity and sincerity towards the business and clients.

I hope our Beijing office can become a cultural hub, to continue our strong performance and develop my team into a future Global Top 10.
